- Manasi Joshi is a well-known Para-Badminton player. She has won a gold medal in BWF Para-Badminton World Championships (2019).
- She started playing badminton with her father when she was 6 years old.
- After completing her Bachelors, she started working at Atos India. In 2011, when she was on her two-wheeler driving to her office, a truck hit her and crushed her left leg and it was amputated. She was hospitalised for almost 50 days, and later, she started walking with a prosthetic leg.
- Even after losing her one leg, she continued to work at Atos. Her life found a new direction when her company organised a badminton tournament. She participated in it and won the match.
- In 2014, she represented Maharashtra at selection trials for the Asian Games, and in the same year, she won her first national tournament against the Arjuna Award winner- Parul Parmar.
- She went on to play at various national and international tournaments.
- In 2018, she enrolled herself in P. Gopichand badminton academy at Hyderabad for training.
