  • Sagar Narwat was interested in boxing since childhood, and according to Sagar, he grew up watching fight clips on YouTube.
  • In 2010, he started training in kickboxing at Dronacharya Boxing Club in Faridabad, where his coaches Rajiv Godara and Jai Bhagwan advised him to try his hand at boxing. In 2011, he started training in boxing at the same boxing club in Faridabad and won more than ten medals at various district-level boxing events.
  • In 2013, he won bronze at Haryana Professional Boxing Competition held in Gurgaon. In 2015, he won bronze at the 48th Senior Men Haryana State Boxing Championship.
  • In 2016, he won gold at the International Rural Boxing Championship, where he was also given the Best Boxer Award.

  • He has won many Pro Boxing matches including The Punch Boxing Serie, Pro Boxing Fight Night, and Super Boxing League.
  • In 2017, he played for OPM Punjab Sultan in the Super Boxing League Season 1. Sagar Narwat fetched on the poster of OPM Punjab Sultan
  • On 13 October 2017, he defeated the Philippines boxer Jun Maamo in the Philippines Bakbakan Saadlaw San Calbayog International Championship following which he earned the title of Iron Man.
  • In 2018, he established a boxing training centre named Sagar Narwat Boxing & Fitness Club in his village, where he trains budding boxers. According to Sagar, money is not a prerequisite for learning. In an interview, he talked about his training centre and said,

    On this win, Arif Khan, owner of The Punch Boxing, a professional boxing series in India, said,

    Sagar is very hardworking and disciplined. He has progressed in every fight and finally, he is here.”

  • In 2021, he appeared in the music video of a Hindi song titled ‘Changa.’ The song was released on the YouTube channel Big Bang Music on 31 August 2021.

  • He has appeared in many boxing leagues in India including the Super Boxing League. In an interview, he talked about his experience with the Super Boxing League during which he defeated a renowned army boxer following which the owner of the Super Boxing League called him ‘The Sher.’ Sagar said,

    During my tenure with SBL, one of my fights was against a great Army boxer who had won a lot of professional matches in the past while I was a complete nobody at the time. After dodging his massive swings and throwing timely punches while constantly trying to calm my nerves, I was finally able to beat him. That is when I got the name ‘The Sher.’ I love this name that the boxing brethren has given me and I hope to continue to do justice to it in the future.”

  • In an interview, he talked about his social media fans and said that their support encourage him to perform well. He said,

    I consider myself to be extremely lucky to have the support of so many boxing fans of India. While it adds a lot of pressure on me to perform better inside the ring, it also gives me great honour to represent my country in grand, international events.”
