• Rachit Rojha is an Indian YouTuber, singer, social media influencer, and producer. He became popular for making comedy videos about situations in everyday life, particularly of students, lovers, and siblings. He is followed by more than 13 million people on YouTube.

• When he was young, his family moved from Bahadurgarh to Delhi. He excelled in his studies and showed a remarkable ability to learn and grasp difficult concepts of different subjects.

• After passing the 12th standard exams from the non-medical stream, he cleared the JEE Main exam; however, he could not pass the JEE Advanced exam after which he took a year off to prepare for the exam again as his father wanted him to get good rank and take admission in any IIT or NIT and became a good engineer. This year changed his life as he started his journey to become a YouTuber.

• Rachit later pursued an engineering degree from Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology (MAIT), Delhi from which he later dropped out as he could concentrate and find time to study.

• When Rojha was preparing for engineering entrance examinations during his dropout year after 12th standard, he saw content creators who were earning money by making videos for YouTube. He was fascinated by that as he did not like a 9-6 job and wanted to do something different in his life.

• He later started finding information about YouTube and the art of making videos. His first mobile phone with which he started to make videos was a Mi mobile phone worth Rs 8000. He also purchased a tripod for Rs 350 from Chandni Chowk, Delhi. He opened his YouTube channel named Rachit Rojha and uploaded his first video titled ‘Desi Will Be Desi’ in 2017.

• When Rachit told his father that he was making YouTube videos, his father was not happy about that and told him to stop making videos and focus on his studies. Rachit agreed with his father; however, he did not stop making videos and kept on making videos without informing him.

• After one year of making videos, his channel was followed by around 300 people, mostly his family and friends; however, he continued making and uploading videos. Most of his videos were related to everyday life school, college, friendships, and relationships which any family could enjoy together.

• Rachit later met Aashish Bhardwaj, the CEO of Sociopool India Private Limited, a marketing company that helps social media influencers increase their follower base. He termed this a turning point in his career as Bhardwaj guided Rachit with the videos he should make and other things to increase the subscribers on his YouTube channel.

• He focused on making videos about the love stories of desi (Indian) people, mostly of those belonging to small Indian cities and villages which became viral. Within one year, his channel crossed 1 million (10 lakh) subscribers. • Rachit claimed in an interview that he used to rap and wanted to become a rapper when he was studying in 12th standard; however, at that time, he did not have the money or resources to make and release songs. After he became a successful YouTuber, he appeared in many music videos. His first song titled Jee Bhar Ke, sung by Saaj Bhatt and Sumedha Karmahe, was released in December 2022. He later featured in many music videos such as GT Road Ki Rani, Baalam Khota, and Sang Sohniye.

• Rachit once contracted Tuberculosis (TB) from his paternal grandmother after which he became severely ill. He started having thoughts of dying as he lost 18 kg weight as his weight dropped from 60 kg to 42 kg. He said that he survived as the treatment of TB was affordable for his parents. He still kept on making videos with his phone in his quarantined room.

• He revealed in an interview that he once stole gold earrings from his mother and also stole small amounts of money like Rs 50 and Rs 100 from his home to purchase mobile and camera accessories required to make videos.
