Controversy	Malashri was invited to play a guest role in the sequel of the film, Uppu Huli Khara. However, in April 2023, Malashri accused the director, Imran Sardariya and the producer, K Manju of fiiring her from the film. She stated that she received a message from the producer mentioning that her performance was not upto the mark and to return the money she received from Sardariya. The controversy began when K Manju clarified to Malashri that he was not the producer of the film and had paid Rs. 45 Lakhs to her. At a press conference regarding this, Malashri became emotional and cried that it was not the case. Subsequently, Manju mocked her in another press conference and was extremely upset that the actress had called him 'stupid' and 'nonsense'. He has demanded that Malashri should apologize for calling him such names and to return the money he gave her. Malashri in return has stated that she will not act in the sequel of Uppu Huli Khara.

• Malashri began her professional career in the movies as a child artist.

• She has appeared in about 34 films as a child artist out of which in 26 films she has played the role of a boy.

• In an interview with Majaa Talkies, she said that she used to dress up like superstar Amitabh Bachchan since she was a young admirer, which led to her being cast as a boy actor in Neela Malargal and other films from 1979.
