ControversyMalashri was invited to play a guest role in the sequel of the film, Uppu Huli Khara. However, in April 2023, Malashri accused the director, Imran Sardariya and the producer, K Manju of fiiring her from the film. She stated that she received a message from the producer mentioning that her performance was not upto the mark and to return the money she received from Sardariya. The controversy began when K Manju clarified to Malashri that he was not the producer of the film and had paid Rs. 45 Lakhs to her.
At a press conference regarding this, Malashri became emotional and cried that it was not the case. Subsequently, Manju mocked her in another press conference and was extremely upset that the actress had called him 'stupid' and 'nonsense'.
He has demanded that Malashri should apologize for calling him such names and to return the money he gave her. Malashri in return has stated that she will not act in the sequel of Uppu Huli Khara.
