• Coi Leray was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and raised in Hackensack, New Jersey.

• Inspired by her father, a renowned rapper and songwriter, she began singing at the age of 14.

• Coi released her first song, titled Coi Leray—”Bow Down”, with her brother Taj, and “Rock Back on YouTube.  However, both Leray and her brother stopped rapping.

• Coi Leray was the only girl in a family of six children.

• At the age of 16, Coi dropped out of high school and started working as a salesgirl in an e-commerce business.
