• She rose to fame during the golden age of PTV when she acted in many TV shows such as Aakhri Chattan (1985, as Begum Wazir-e-Azam, aired on PTV), Tipu Sultan: The Tiger Lord (1997, as Malka Begum Nizam, aired on PTV), Dehleez (2012, as Amma, telecast on ARY Digital), and Bharosa Pyar Tera (2019, as Raeesa Khanum, aired on Geo Entertainment).

• She got popular for comic, serious, complex and grey-shaded roles.

• She worked in the Pakistani entertainment industry for 5 decades and also appeared in several Pakistani films such as Muskaan (2011, as Nafeesa Hashmi Khan) and Fatima (2012, as Fatima).

• According to the initial investigation, there were injury marks on her body, and she had died 7 days ago. The body was sent to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for a postmortem.

• Senior Superintendent of Police Dr. Farooq Raza said that she died of natural causes. Some people claimed that she fell in the bathroom, got injured, and passed away.

• Karachi Police Surgeon Dr. Summaiya Syed said that they were waiting for her son to perform her last rites, and her body was kept in the Edhi Foundation mortuary in Sohrab Goth till then.

• Local people said that she lived alone for many years and had limited interaction with other people in the community.
