In August 2020, a woman from Gautam Buddh Nagar met Uttar Kumar and worked with him in a song for a film. She later alleged that he promised her lead roles in big Haryanvi films and career growth. She claimed that he called her several times to his office in Shalimar Garden, Ghaziabad, and to his farmhouse in Amroha. She alleged that he misbehaved with her and forced physical relations. In November 2023, she alleged that Uttar Kumar threatened to file a defamation case against her and her sister and used caste-based remarks. She submitted a written complaint to the police in June 2025 and later reported that she received death threats. She said that the police initially did not register a case. After she complained to senior officers, an FIR was registered at Shalimar Garden police station. ACP Shalimar Garden initially moved to close the case citing lack of evidence. DCP Nimish Patil objected to the closure and transferred the investigation to ACP Indirapuram Abhishek Srivastava. The complainant later gave call recordings and other evidence to the police. On the night of 14 September 2025, police took Uttar Kumar into custody from his farmhouse in Amroha. During transit, his health deteriorated, and he was admitted to a private hospital in Ghaziabad. Doctors later declared his condition normal after medical tests. Police stated that Uttar Kumar will be presented in court after his discharge from the hospital.
