Some Lesser Known Facts About Jun Ji-hyun
- Wang Ji-hyun was born in a middle-class South Korean family.
- In 1997, at age 16, she started modelling for Ecole Magazine after being encouraged by friends and her mother.
- She debuted as an actress in 1998 and adopted the stage name Jun Ji-hyun. In 1999, she appeared in the drama Happy Together and made her film debut in White Valentine.
- Her Samsung My Jet Printer commercial became popular the same year. In 2000, she starred in the film Il Mare, later remade in Hollywood as The Lake House.
- In 2001, Jun starred in My Sassy Girl, which became the highest-grossing Korean comedy film.
