  • He was later known by his stage name, Raju Talikote. Both his parents were well-known stage artists.
  • They ran a drama troupe called “Sreeguru Kaskadeswara Nattiya Sangha,” which performed stage dramas across Karnataka.
  • Raju Talikote started acting in stage plays as a child, helping his parents in their drama group. After the death of his parents, he had to leave school early and continue the family’s stage work to earn a living.
  • He soon became known for his strong comic timing and for playing drunkard characters in local theatre shows. These roles made him popular among audiences in North Karnataka.
  • He later started his own drama troupe called ‘Khasgatyeshwara Nataka Mandali.’ His troupe performed in several towns and villages, keeping traditional theatre alive.
