  • He grew up as a shepherd. While rearing the sheep, he started writing poems and rhyming.
  • Ande Sri then went on to compose more than 3,000 poems.
  • Many of his poems showed the hopes, struggles, and dreams of the Telangana people.

  • Some of his popular poems included “Janani Jaya Kethanam,” “Palle Neeku Vandanamulammo,” “Gala Gala Gajjalabandi,” “Maayamai Potunnadamma Manishannavadu,” and “Komma Chekkite Bommara.”
  • In the mid-1990s, Ande Sri moved to Hyderabad and worked as a construction labourer.
