  • During her school years, Seema tried several sports including boxing, wrestling, and Kabaddi, before finally choosing discus throw after one of her school teachers introduced her to the event.

  • In an interview, she shared that her progress was interrupted by a serious knee injury and COVID-19, which kept her away from competition for more than three years.
  • In 2019, Seema Kaliramna married former national-level discus thrower Ravinder Kaliramna (Monu), who later became her personal coach and played a major role in her comeback.
