• Baljeet Singh was from Sudhar Patti Dhaliwal village in Ludhiana.

• He later became a Punjabi singer and lyricist, and remained independent throughout his career.

• In his early 30s, his parents died and he had lived quite some time in the house alone.

• He never married and continued to stay by himself till the end.

• Baljeet had earlier been a part of a drug related case, police records show.

• The local SHO Kulwinder Singh stated that Baljeet had no addiction to any drugs.

• His family stated that he had been battling addiction in recent years, and that had also had an impact on his music career.

• Police said they had received reports from family members that he was seen around a number of locations where drugs are said to be sold just a few days before he disappeared.

• Baljeet was reported missing for four to five days, which was later discovered to be his death. Neighbours noticed a foul smell coming from his house and informed the police.

• A Sudhar police team arrived at his house in the morning of 3 September 2026 and found his decomposed body in the bed of the house.
