• In 2008, Dhillon rose to fame when he served as the captain of the Indian kabaddi team, where he represented India in kabadi competitions held in several countries.

• During his international kabaddi career, he became known as an international-level kabaddi player from Punjab. His career was from the era before the Pro Kabaddi League became widely popular.

• After retiring from international kabaddi, he continued to work for kabaddi through his association with Kabaddi Adda, Chandigarh as a Sports Specialist.

• In November 2014, Dhillon got married to his wife, Anupreet Kaur; however, their marriage ended just after around eight months.
