  • At the age of 14, he left his home in Kozhikode, Kerala, to train in 100m and 200m sprinting at Kalladi Higher Secondary School in Palakkad.
  • Before choosing athletics for his sports career, he was interested in playing volleyball and football.
  • He practised different athletic games for a year such as sprints, long jump, high jump, shot put, and hurdles before choosing triple jump.
  • In 2015, he had an ankle injury due to which he could not participate in 2016 competitions. Later, he also had minor injuries on his heel and back. He got injured for four consecutive years from 2015 to 2019.
  • In 2018, he was recruited by the Indian Air Force in the services team.
  • After practising at the Air Force grounds, he joined Sports Authority of India in Bengaluru for triple jump training.
  • In 2022, he was selected for the National camp where he met Karthik Unnikrishnan and Eldhose Paul, two other triple jumpers from India.
  • In the 2022 Commonwealth Games, he won a silver medal with a 17.02m jump.
