- Aimee’s parents got divorced when she was nine years old. Her mother works with Childline and her father is a car dealer.
- Aimee fell in love with acting while watching films with her parents. Her father introduced her to Oscar-nominated movies, and she used to watch classic 1980s movies with her mother.
- After her parent’s divorce, Aimee lived with her mother and stepfather, who supported her passion for acting. She also in an interview about her father’s addiction and how he would disappear for days without telling anyone, she further said,
He would go out for a pint and not come back for days. He once went out and didn’t come back for 10 weeks because he’d been to the World Cup in Korea,”
- Aimee used to get bullied in school. She once said in an interview that she confronted her bully by texting him a message on Instagram. She said,
It was quite a self-righteous rant, like, “Thank you for making me who I am”. But actually, he sent back the nicest reply. He said he’d been feeling guilt and shame about it for a long time – he’d been having an awful time at home when he was bullying me and he’d never been able to express how sorry he was.
