In 2025, an Iranina court sentenced Amir Tataloo to death on appeal after he was convicted of blasphemy. He was sentenced to death for insulting Islam's Prophet Mohammed. However, the Iran's Judiciary dismissed a report by state-run media that it had sentenced Amir to death sentence. Amir Tatoloo was previously sentenced to five-year jail term on the offences. Detained in Iran
In 2023, Amir Tataloo tried to leave Turkey to return to Tehran, Iran with his expired Iranian passport. Turkish authorities first rejected his departure from Istanbul airport with an expired Iranian passport and later arrested him and handed over Tataloo to the Islamic Republic's police where he was immediately arrested with pending serious charges for his alleged insults directed toward consulate staff and members.   • Due to his father’s job, Amir Tataloo spent his elementary school years in Rasht, Iran. After a few years, he moved back to Tehran.
  • Amir Tataloo decided to work and study simultaneously because of his family’s financial situation.
  • He used to work at a carpenter’s workshop from the age of 14 to 16. Later at the age of 16, Amir started working at a grocery shop.
  • Amir started pursuing his music career right after he finished high school in 2003 by releasing songs on his blog.
  • Amir Tataloo started as an underground musician and remained unauthorized by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance which is a ministry responsible for managing access to media in the view of the Iranian government.
  • In 2011, Amir Tataloo started his YouTube channel and started uploading his songs on it. His YouTube channel holds more than eight hundred thousand subscribers, as of 2025.
  • Amir Tataloo is part of the first generation of the Iranian underground hip-hop field and also one of the first R&B singers in the Persian language.

  • In 2018, after several arrests by the Iranian authorities and failing to get a music activity license from the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Amir Tataloo left Iran and immigrated to Turkey.
  • Amir Tataloo also moved to Dubai and stayed there for a while to pursue his music career but he didn’t find a scope in Dubai and returned back to Turkey.
