Anjala Saver always had thought of becoming an actress but completing her studies was her first priority. So, she joined a medical college to pursue her graduation in medical science.

Vinod Khanna went to London and had organised a competition to find a fresh face to debut with his son Akshaye Khanna for ‘Himalay Putra’. Her photos were sent by an agency with whom she had done a photo shoot and got selected after an audition for the film.

Initially, she was sceptical about becoming an actress as her family is a conservative one. But as she always wanted to become an actress she decided to give acting a try and agreed to do her first film ‘Himalay Putra’.

Anjala Zaveri has done films in different languages including Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam. In fact, she was more successful in South Indian film industry than Bollywood from where she had made her debut.
