• Anu secured 2nd rank in the UPSC exam of 2017 and was the 1st amongst the female candidates. 

• Before clearing the UPSC exam, she was working for a private company for 9 years and was earning ₹20 lakh/year.

• In 2016, she left her job at Aviva Life Insurance and started her preparation for UPSC civil services exam.

• For the IAS preparation, she took admission in Nice Institute, Delhi. 

• The same year, she gave her first attempt for the UPSC civil services, but missed the prelims by just 1 mark.
