- Avanish wanted to become a cricketer since childhood. He used to watch cricket matches with his father on TV which grew his interest in cricket.
- He was 9 when his father enrolled him in Hindi Maha Vidyalaya Cricket Academy.
- He progressed under the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA). He was selected to play for the Under-14 league matches for the Hyderabad team.
- He was appointed as the captain of the Hyderabad U-19 team.
- In 2019, he played Vijay Merchant Trophy under-16 tournament for Hyderabad, he scored 183 runs against Chennai.
- Avinash made his List A debut for Hyderabad against Services on 29 November 2023 during the Vijay Hazare Trophy in Jaipur.
- On 17 November 2023 in quadrangular series, when India List A U-19 was struggling at 95/5 while chasing the total of 376, Avanish smashed 163 runs off only 93 deliveries, leading his team to victory. It was his extraordinary performance, he displayed his ability of power hitting, by smashing 12 sixes in this innings. He also won the player of the match.
