He mentioned that out of approximately 40 scripts he had listened to, he had dozed off during their narration. The only story that captivated him was the one presented by A. Hariharan, the writer of the film Enna Solla Pogirai. However, Ashwin's statement failed to impress many Tamil directors, leading them to express their discontent on social media. Numerous directors referred to Ashwin as an "arrogant person with an attitude."
