  • He began his civil service career in the 2005 batch, where he was assigned to the Sikkim cadre.
  • In February 2015, he was deputed to Uttar Pradesh, where he initially served as the special secretary of irrigation and water resources, and CEO of the integrated water management project also called Sharda Sahayak project.
  • He has served as a District Magistrate in several districts like Bulandshahr (2016), Fatehpur (2018–2019), and Rampur (2019–2021).
  • As a collector of Rampur (2019), he made headlines by taking strict action against SP leader Azam Khan issuing over 60 FIRs also ensuring enforcement of election rules and contributing to the conviction and disqualification of Azam Khan and his son Abdullah.
