ControversyAccused in a case of sexual misconduct: A 23-year-old woman, disguised under the name "Grace," shared her experience of a date with Aziz through an article published by the website Babe.net on 13 January 2018. Grace claimed in the article that Ansari repeatedly forced her into sex and ignored the discomfort she faced with his physical advances. Grace claimed that she had a very hard time getting out of that situation and that she ultimately had to take an Uber to escape from the situation. [3]Babe A day after the article was published, Ansari stated,

"It was true that everything did seem okay to me, so when I heard that it was not the case for her, I was surprised and concerned. I took her words to heart and responded privately after taking the time to process what she had said."
