Some Lesser Known Facts About Bayley

Pamela Rose Martinez, better-known by her ring name, Bayley, was a passionate sports person during her school days. From basketball and volleyball to track & field and cross-country, Bayley had devoted considerable time trying different sports.

In an interview, she revealed that she considers wrestler Randy Savage as her inspiration. The streamers on her arms that you can see during her entrance are basically a tribute to the now deceased former wrestler.

Bayley portrays the character of a happy-go-lucky girl, spreading love by offering hugs. However, her smiling face initially posed a threat to her wrestling career. “As a wrestler, you cannot afford to smile in tense situations or when you are receiving a beatdown,” said her first trainer, Jason Styles.

From 2008-2012, Bayley wrestled under the moniker ‘Davina Rose’ at Big Time Wrestling.
