  • During his third year of college, he became a part of ‘Aronyak,’ a theatre company established by the well-known Bangladeshi actor and filmmaker Mamunur Rashid. He remained associated with the group for nearly a decade.
  • In 1998, he played the role of Laley in the stage play ‘Shangkranti,’ produced under the Arannyak Natyodol Production.
  • His performance as Shubhro in the stage play ‘Che’er Cycle’ in 2003, received immense appreciation from the audience. The play was produced by Bengali Theatre Production.

  • In 2021, Chowdhury was trolled by a group of religious zealots after he posted a picture with his mother on Mother’s Day in which his mother was seen wearing sindur on her forehead, which is a symbol of their Hindu faith. As a reaction, Chanchal decided to share poems that support unity and better understanding among people of various religions, urging everyone to show respect for and accept each other’s faiths.
