• Sourav Saha is a Bengali actor. He is popularly known for essaying the role of Ramakrishna Paramahansa in the TV series ‘Karunamoyee Rani Rashmoni’ in 2019.

• While studying at the Ramakrishna Mission School, he has the habit of reading books based on Ramakrishna’s life and ideologies. This helped him later in playing the role of Ramakrishna in various TV shows and plays.

• The actor revealed in an interview that playing the role of Ramakrishna Paramahansa for consecutive three years has changed his body language, which according to him, has to be changed to play different characters in future. The actor said,
  

  Speaking in one way for so many years has also changed my normal speaking habits. The walk has changed. It should all be done again.”

• In an interview, he revealed that while he was playing the role of Ramakrishna in the show ‘Karunamoyee Rani Rashmoni,’ many people started believing that he might have possessed some of the Saint’s energies after playing his role for so long. Sharing an incident in the interview, he said that all of his crew members touched his feet on the last day of shooting for the show to pay respect to Ramakrishna.

• Before enacting the role of saint Ramakrishna in the TV show ‘Karunamoyee Rani Rashmoni,’ he played the saint’s role for the first time when he was five years old in a play and later in a documentary film, directed by Haranath Chakraborty. The film was later screened across the world by Ramakrishna Mission Ashram.
