Controversy	Arrested in Bangladesh In November 2024, he was arrested in Bangladesh by the detective branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police for protesting against violence with Hindus in Bangladesh. While Chinmoy was about to take a flight to Chattogram, he was detained by the police at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka. As per the police, Chinmoy, along with a few other people, had organised a rally under the banner "Sanatan Jagran Mancha." Reportedly, a few people had placed a saffron flag over Bangladeshi flag on Shadhinata Smathamva at Zero Point in Dhaka during the rally. The advisor of Bangladesh government Nahid Islam also accused him through a Facebook post saying that Chinmoy was disrupting social harmony in Bangladesh. Reportedly, his name was also included in the acid attack on army personnel in Chittagong. There were a few more allegations against him, stating that he illegaly occupied a pond owned by BNP Vice-Chairman Mir Mohammad Nasiruddin in Hathazari.
