• D. Sundaram is an Indian businessman. He has been serving on the Board of TVS Capital Funds (P) Limited since June 2009. Sundaram is the Managing Director and Vice Chairman of TVS Capital Funds (P) Limited.

• He grew up in a middle-class family in Chennai.

• In June 1975, D. Sundaram joined Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) as a management trainee. He worked at the firm in various positions like a corporate accountant, commercial manager, and treasurer till 1990.

• From 1990 to 1993, Sundaram looked after the Africa and Middle East regions of Unilever, London, as a Finance Officer.

• Subsequently, Sundaram served as the commercial manager of the TOMCO integration team for around a year.

• He was the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Board Member of Brooke Bond Lipton India in Bangalore from 1994 to 1996.

• From 1996 to 1999, D. Sundaram held the position of Senior Vice-President (Finance, IT, and Strategy) at Unilever London for South Asia and the Middle East.

• In 1999, he again joined Hindustan Unilever Limited as Finance & IT Director. In April 2008, he was elevated to the position of the Vice Chairman of HUL. • On 13 June 2009, Sundaram was appointed as the vice chairman and managing director of TVS Capital Funds Ltd. At TVS, he worked towards bringing deep financial expertise and a significant understanding of consumer-related businesses to the PE operations.

• In January 2009, he was appointed as an independent director on the Board of the State Bank of India. He held the post till June 2014.
