Devlin Hodges was only 2 years old when he started playing ice hockey. He later played all sports as a shortstop in baseball, a point guard in basketball and a quarterback in football.

When he was 8-9 years old, he participated in a football training camp organized by the NFL legend Don Shula.

While studying in 8th grade, he won the 2009 World’s Championship Duck Calling Contest in Stuttgart, Ark., after which his friends gave him the nickname ‘Duck.’

During a 2019 interview, he talked about his religious journey and said, “I wasn’t a cradle Catholic, but a convert. When I was a sophomore in high school, I went with a friend to Mass. And I could feel the presence of God there.”
