• Gayathri Arun has been interested in acting since childhood and participated in and won various district and state-level cultural competitions.

• In 1996, she won the Best Actress prize at the Kerala School Kalolsavam (earlier known as Kerala State School Youth Festival) held in Kottayam, Kerala.

• In 2006, she hosted the popular shows, Kalalayavarnangal, Gandharva Sangeetham, and Circus telecasted on Kairali TV.
