- Gurinderjit Singh Nagra is a Punjab Police Officer, who served as the Station House Officer (SHO) of Tanda Police Station in Hoshiarpur district of Punjab in January 2026.
- When he served as SHO, on 15 January 2026, a murder case was registered at Tanda Police Station, after victim Balvinder Singh, a local Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and owner of Satkartaar Hardware Shop in Miani village under Hoshiarpur’s Tanda subdivision was shot dead by three unidentified assailants. Nagra supervised the investigation.
- On 16 January 2026, US based gangsters Jashal Chambal and Gurlal Rudiana allegedly claimed responsibility for the murder through a social media post and described the murder as a contract killing, alleging the shooters were paid Rs 1.80 lakh.
- In April 2026, Gurlal Rudiana and members of Jaggu Bhagwanpuria gang shared detail of Gurpreet Singh family with Nagra as a part of an alleged extortion conspiracy.
- On 13 April 2026, Nagra contacted Gurpreet Singh’s father and threatened to implicate the entire family, including the Gurpreet’s sister, in Balvinder Singh’s murder’s investigation.
