• She began training in powerlifting before switching to Olympic weightlifting at a young age.

• During the COVID-19 lockdown, she trained at home using improvised weights such as gas cylinders and concrete slabs, made by her father.

• Her father gave up his own bodybuilding ambitions due to financial constraints but dedicated himself to supporting her sporting career.

• She has been appointed an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) in the Chhattisgarh Police in recognition of her achievements.

• In 2025, she received Chhattisgarh’s prestigious Gundadhur Samman for her international performances.

• In 2026, Gyaneshwari Yadav made her Commonwealth Games debut at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games and won the silver medal in the women’s 53 kg weightlifting event with a career-best total lift of 199 kg (88 kg snatch + 111 kg clean & jerk).
