- Harsh Dubey was born in a middle-class family.
- He was one going to school during 4th standard when they took a wrong turn. He saw young children practising cricket and got interested in cricket.
- His father worked in the CISF (Central Industrial Security Force), and his mother was a teacher. But his father later quit his job to help him train.
- He trained at local clubs and played matches.
- He finished as the highest wicket-taker of the 2019-2020 season of the Under-19 Cooch Behar Trophy.
- In June 2022, he scored 116 runs in 107 balls for MRC-A in the TNCA Division Finals.
- He signed a contract with SG Cricket in July 2022.
- In June 2023, he participated in the Under-23 NCA Emerging Camp in Pondicherry.
- He made headlines in the 2024-2025 Ranji Trophy season after finishing as the highest wicket-taker ever, helping Vidarbha win the trophy. He broke Ashutosh Aman’s record of 68 wickets in the 2018-2019 season.
- He also scored 476 runs, finishing as Man of the Tournament. He also became the 6th bowler to ever take more than 60 wickets in one season of the Ranji Trophy.
