  • Harsh joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh at the age of 7.
  • Harsh worked as Yuva Morcha Mandal President and Secretary-District Yuva Morcha after joining the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) youth Wing in 1984.
  • Harsh started his business of offset printing in 1986.
  • Harsh served as the President of the Delhi Printers Association and Joint Secretary of the All India Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP). He played a crucial role in ensuring the smooth relocation of printers to the Bawana Industrial area in 1996.
  • When he was mayor of East Delhi Municipal Corporation, Harsh initiated projects, such as waste to wealth from construction and building waste, and electricity from municipal garbage.

  • Harsh launched the welfare scheme ‘Suposhan programme’ when he was the Chairman of the Education Committee, EDMC. The program aimed to eliminate malnutrition among children in municipal schools of Delhi.
  • Harsh won the Lok Sabha elections in 2024 from the East Delhi constituency by defeating the INDIA bloc’s candidate Kuldeep Kumar by 93,663 votes securing 52.3% of the votes. He replaced cricketer-turned-politician, Gautam Gambhir, as the MP of East Delhi.
