- Jai Moondra was born in a small town of Tonk near Jaipur in Rajasthan.
- From his childhood he began playing cricket. He enrolled himself to an academy to train his fast bowling skills.
- During his time at the academy, he also worked on his batting skills and tried spin bowling.
- He was declared to be a top order batter and left arm spinner by the age of 16.
- Moondra started concentrating on his studies after 10th standard.
- His father wished him to get his education first and then take up cricket.
- During this time he played casually and for the love of the game.
- He began playing medium pace tennis ball bowling in college. He subsequently played leather ball cricket for his college.
- His interest continued to grow, as did his speed, and he fell in love with fast bowling.
- Upon completion of college in 2019, Moondra thought that his cricket career was going to come to an end if he took a full-time corporate job.
- He was determined to have one last go at cricket before making a career.
- He then moved to Ireland in 2021 to study a Masters in Electronics and Communication Engineering.
- In September 2022, he finished his post-graduate studies and entered into Intel as a Product Development Engineer.
- Moondra still played cricket in Ireland while employed at Intel. He began playing cricket at the age of 24 from Leinster Cricket Club, Dublin.
