  • On 12 October 2025, Jayakrishnan made headlines when he and his two associates were arrested in Mangaluru district, Karnataka.

  • They were accused of making abusive and communal comments to a local taxi driver.

  • Jayakrishnan and his two friends booked a taxi through a mobile app for a pick-up at New Road, Bejai, on the night of 9 October 2025. The incident happened when driver Ahmed Shafiq called to confirm the location; they abused him over the phone.

  • A complaint at the Urwa Police Station said that the accused were drunk during the incident.

  • They allegedly shouted communal insults at the taxi driver, calling him a ‘terrorist’ and a ‘Muslim extremist.’

  • They abused him in Hindi and Malayalam and made offensive remarks about the driver’s family.

  • During investigations, police confirmed that the accused later admitted that they were under the influence of alcohol.
