In 2024, he was accused of not paying money at a gas station on NQS Avenue in Bogotá. A video of him and his son trying to leave the gas station and arguing with the station attendant as the station attendant continued to demand money from them went viral. In an interview, Juan Lozano defended his actions and claimed that the attendant filled his car with more fuel than his son had asked for and the attendant refused his son's request to allow them to pay the money later.
