ControversyIn 2019, the Tamil Nadu State Commission for Women issued a notice to K. Bhagyaraj for his alleged remarks on sexual assault of women. During the audio launch event of his film titled 'Karuthukalai Padhivu Sei,' he stated that women invite men to sexually assault them and give them space to do such mistakes and that men shoudl not always be blamed for assaults, while women encourage them to do so, allegedly in connection with the Pollachi sexual assault case.   • At the family table, while eating lunch or dinner, K. Bhagraraj used to say dialogues from MGR films.
  • After his father died, Bhagyaraj stopped going to college, and at the age of 21, Bhagyaraj ran away to Hyderabad to pursue a career in South Indian films.
