Some Lesser Known Facts About Keerthi Sagathia
Keerthi Sagathia is a classical trained singer who learned the nuances of classical training from his father Karsan Sagathia and Pandit Bhavdeep Jaipurwale.
He failed 6th grade three times which was a turning point in his life because that was the beginning for his musical journey.
His ancestors have contributed to Guajarati folk music for more than 100 years.
He first performed on stage when he was just 3 years old with his father at a cultural festival called Dayro in Gujrat.
Before venturing into Bollywood he did a lot of work in commercials with music directors like Ram Sampath, Ranjit Barot, Vishal-Shekhar singing jingles for them.
He became popular when he sang ‘Mayya Mayya’ for A.R. Rahman in the film ‘Guru’ which gave him another opportunity to sing ‘Beera Beera’ in the film ‘Raavan’.
In addition to the films, Keerthi Sagathia has sung in Theme Song of Aamir Khan’s television show ‘Satyamev Jayate’.
He considers himself to be a student of music and has recently started learning guitar as a hobby.
