  • Krishan Bahadur is of Nepali descent and his parents moved to India in the year 1990 for better earning opportunities.
  • At the age of 12, Krishan Bahadur joined the Surjit Singh Hockey Academy in Jalandhar as his father always wanted him to have a career in sports and to represent India on a major level.
  • Krishan Bahadur used to practice hockey at the Rail Coach Factory in Kapurthala. When he was 14 years old, the teams of Indian Railways and the Border Security Force were having a hockey match at the RCF. At that moment, the team of Indian Railways didn’t have a goalkeeper to play in the match which is why the members asked Krishan to join their team as they had already seen him playing and practicing in the fields. After that, he was selected in the team of Indian Railways.
  • His biggest inspiration in hockey is the professional hockey player P. R. Sreejesh.
  • After a little while, Krishan Bahadur was included in the Indian Oil Corporation’s hockey team as a goalkeeper.

  • In 2016, Krishan was also selected for the Mumbai-based hockey team ‘Dabang Mumbai’ in the fourth season of the professional field hockey tournament ‘2016 Hockey India League’ (HIL).
