Controversy | In 2019, during a discussion in the news TV show 'Bebaak,' which was broadcast on GNN, a journalist named Chaudhry Ghulam Hussain claimed that Kulsume was married to Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. He also alleged that she was promoted while working in the Secretariat and her powers were also increased. Shehbaz would not return to Pakistan. - Kulsume Hai had been interested in public service since childhood.
- In an interview, she revealed that her parents were very strict and always taught her discipline. Her father and brother used to encourage her to become independent.
- According to her, she was a younger member of her family and mostly felt alone during her childhood. Her parents were busy with their jobs and her siblings were too old to play with her. So, she started reading, drawing, watching movies, listening to music, painting and landscaping gardens, cooking and experiencing major cuisines of the world.
- In 2004, she appeared in the written competitive exam of Central Superior Service (CSS) for a post in BPS-17 and passed it. She joined the District Management Group after that.
- In the interview round for the Central Superior Service (CSS) exam, the chairman did not like her bold and strong attitude. In an interview, she added that the government sector could not judge her for her personal life.
