• Kulwinder Kaur joined the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) in 2009.

• Since 2021, she has worked with the aviation security group at Chandigarh airport.

• Her brother, Sher Singh Mahiwal, is the organisational secretary of the Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee, which protested against the now-abolished farm laws in 2021.

• In 2024, her husband was posted as a CISF personnel at Chandigarh airport. On 6 June 2024, Kulwinder Kaur slapped and abused actress Kangana Ranaut at Chandigarh airport.

• She was upset with Kangana Ranaut’s views on the farmers’ protests, organised in 2020-21.
