• Sanjush Lingamaneni is from Andhra Pradesh.

• On 16 August 2026 Sanjush was driving an Aston Martin SUV in Madhapur area of Hyderabad.

• He was driving “at high speed and in a rash and negligent way,” police said.

• The manager of the Lifestyle store, Panjala Ashwin Kumar, complained about the incident.

• Sanjush was booked under Section 106(1) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and a case was filed by Madhapur Police on this complaint.

• In this section, the crime is death from a rash or a careless act and carries a maximum fine, prison or both of five years. Sanjush was not arrested by the police.

• The offence falls under a section which prohibits arrest at this stage as punishment is less than 5 years and the case doesn’t meet the requirement of Arnesh Kumar verdict and Section 35 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, DCP Balanagar Zone Ritiraj said.
