Silambarasan made his first on-screen appearance as a child artist with the Tamil film ‘Uravai Kaatha Kili’ (1984). He acted in 19 films as a child artist and was famous as the ‘Little Superstar’. 1. ‘Vaanam’ dubbed in Hindi as ‘Zindagi Ek Sangharsh’

Vaanam (2011) is an Indian Tamil drama film written and directed by Krish. It features an ensemble cast of Silambarasan, Bharath, Anushka Shetty, Prakash Raj, Saranya and Sonia Agarwal. The film was successful at the box-office and dubbed in Hindi as ‘Zindagi Ek Sangharsh’.

Plot: The lives of five individuals living in different places converge at a point, resulting in the transformation of their persona and purpose.

2. ‘Kaalai’ dubbed in Hindi as ‘Jwalamukhi’

Kaalai (2008) is a Tamil action film directed by Tharun Gopi. The film stars Silambarasan with Vedhika, Lal, Sangeetha and Seema in supporting roles. The film was a flop and dubbed in Hindi as ‘Jwalamukhi’.

Plot: Simbhu comes to the city, seeking revenge from Lal for killing his grandmother. He begins to woo Lal’s daughter and when the time is right, abducts her and holds her hostage.

3. ‘Osthe’ dubbed in Hindi as ‘Policewala Dabangg’

Osthe (2011) is an Indian Tamil action film directed by S. Dharani, starring Silambarasan with other supporting cast. The film was declared average at the box office and dubbed into Hindi as ‘Policewala Dabangg’.

Plot: Velan dislikes his stepfather and his half-brother Balan. As a police officer, he locks horns with a local politician who uses the hostility between the brothers as an advantage.
