• She holds an experience of almost thirty years of working in the financial sector. Before being appointed as the chairperson of SEBI, she worked as a Whole-Time Member of Sebi from 2017 to 4 October 2021.

• When Madhabi was appointed as the chairman of SEBI, she became the first person to hold the post who had never served as an IAS officer.
