Some Lesser Known Facts About Manvita Kamath

• She started her career as a radio jockey with Radio Mirchi. Later, she stepped into acting with the Kannada film Kendasampige (2015).

• Manvita Kamath is multilingual and is versed in various versions of the Kannada language like Mangaluru Kannada, Malnad Kannada, Dharwad, and Bengaluru Kannada.

• Since childhood, Manvita has pursued acting in theater.

• In one of the theater plays, she took part in a folk drama troupe directed by the Late Mr. Bhaskar Nelliteertha.

• According to Mavita, the reason for pursuing acting as a professional career was due to her work as the secretary of Kannada Singha during her college years.

• After her debut, she worked in another Kannada movie called Kanaka. She portrayed the character of Kanasu and the movie was released on 26 January 2018.

• Manvita’s next work was the commercial hit movie Tagaru, directed by Duniya Suri and the hattrick hero Shiva Rajkumar. She played the role of Punarvasu and it was the first movie where she played the lead character.

• According to Manvita, despite her having no connections within the film industry, a contract had recommended her name to the director, Duniya Soori. Subsequently, she was called in for the audition for her debut movie and received the role of Gowry Shetty.

• After her work in Tagaru, she worked in various other movies such as Tharakaasu where she played the role of Muttamma, Relax Satya in the character of Maya, India vs England where she played the role of Medini, Shiva 143 in the character of Madhu, and finally in the movie Appa I Love You where she portrayed the role of Maya.

• According to Manvita, Arun’s supportive nature was a significant factor in the marriage. She mentioned that “He’s always been caring and respectful of my opinions, which is rare. Unlike many men I’ve encountered, Arun never undermines me but listens attentively.”

• Manvita shared in an interview that another reason she married Arun was because he shared his birth date with her mother.

• Manvita’s mother, Sujatha Kamath, passed away on 16 April 2023, and Manvita performed the last-day mourning ritual according to their religious texts on 28 April 2023.
