Controversy | Road Accident [2]The Hans India Around 9:45 pm on the night of 30 September 2023, he hit an elderly couple named Krishna B, aged 58 years, and his wife, Prema S, aged 48 years while driving his Kia Seltos SUV numbered KA 09 MG 5335 at Konanakunte cross under the jurisdiction of Kumaraswamy Layout Traffic Police Station. He said after the accident that he was returning to his home in J. P. Nagar after meeting his friends in R. R. Nagar. He said that the couple suddenly came in front of his car, and he accidentally hit them. He also tried to take the couple to a hospital in his car; however, it did not start, hence he took them by an autorickshaw. It was later reported that Prema died on the way to the hospital, and Krishna was undergoing treatment for injuries in his head, chest, and legs. The couple's son, Partha, who works in a private company, registered an FIR against Nagabhushana under the IPC Sections 279, 337 and 304A. DCP (Traffic, South) Shiva Prakash Devaraj said that the case was an accident case instead of a hit and run case, and they also did not find Nagabhushana under any influence of alcohol. He was later given a station bail on 1 October 2023. |
