- Nasreen Shaikh is an Indian kho kho player who was appointed as the captain of the team for the 4th Asian Kho Kho Championship in 2023.
- Nasreen played in the 2016 South Asian Games which were held in Guwahati, India. The Indian kho kho team acquired the gold medal.
- Nasreen has always been athletic ever since her school days and used to participate in 100m and 200m sprints and win prizes in inter-school competitions.
- She came from a very financially unstable family which led her to choose a sport which didn’t require any sort of sport equipment.
- Nasreen started playing kho kho when she was in the third stanza and within the period of three years, she was competing in national kho kho championships.
- Nasreen Shaikh started working as an intern for the Airports Authority of India (AAI) at a monthly stipend of Rs 26,000. She was also selected for the kho kho team for AAI and served as the captain of the same.
- In 2019, Nasreen took part in the 13th South Asian Games which were held in Nepal. She played as a captain of the Airports Authority of India (AAI) kho kho team and won the gold medal in the finals.
- Amidst the COVID-19 lockdown, Nasreen and her family struggled financially and requested the bare minimum of help related to ration and her diet as an athlete. Considering the same, the federation and an NGO based out of Delhi provided her with assistance of Rs 1 lakh and Rs 50,000 respectively.

- In 2023, a biopic based on Nasreen’s extraordinary life and achievements was announced by the Kho-Kho Federation of India. The screening of the biopic was done during the opening ceremony of the Ultimate Kho-kho league which was organized in December 2023.
