  • She was born in Edina, Minnesota, and grew up in St. Louis Park, a neighbouring city in Hennepin County, Minnesota, United States.
  • She started playing basketball at age five.
  • Her parents are also National-level Basketball players. When Bueckers was three years old, her parents divorced. She remained with her father while her mother remarried. Later, her father also got married and had a son from his second marriage.
  • As a child, she also played Little League Baseball as a catcher, football, and soccer, but from the first grade, she focused only on basketball.
  • From her elementary school, she is a friend of American National Football Player Jalen Suggs.

  • In seventh grade, Bueckers played for the junior varsity and tenth-grade basketball teams at Hopkins High School in Minnetonka.
  • In the same year, she also played with North Tartan, an Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) program competing in the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League, a national circuit.
  • When she was in the eighth standard, she joined Hopkins’ varsity team (the highest-level team in a sport or activity representing an educational institution).
  • She led her team in three-point shooting and ranked second in assists. Hopkins finished with a 28–3 record and secured a runner-up finish at the Class 4A state tournament, where Bueckers was named to the All-Tournament Team.
