• In 2008, Palwasha Khan was elected to the National Assembly of Pakistan on a reserved seat for women from Punjab, representing the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).

• She later started representing Sindh, Punjab, Pakistan.

• Palwasha Khan served as a Member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from 2008 to 2013.

• Fozia Behram, her aunt, is a politician and businesswoman who was the only woman elected in the Punjab Assembly during the 1988-90 general elections.

• On 4 November 2018, Palwasha Khan was appointed as the Deputy Information Secretary of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

• In April 2025, Palwasha Khan came into the limelight after a video went viral where she said that the first brick of the new Babri mosque in Ayodhya (India) would be laid by Pakistan’s armed forces.

• Her statement came after India-Pakistan political tensions rose after the Pahalgam terror attack in Kashmir on 22 April 2025.

• Her speech took place on 29 April 2025 in Pakistan’s Upper House, where Palwasha Khan said,
  

  The first brick of the new Babri mosque in Ayodhya will be laid by Pakistan Army soldiers, and the first azaan will be given by Army Chief Asim Munir himself.”

• Her remarks were about the Babri mosque, which was demolished in 1992. She spoke about a vision for a Muslim government in the Indian subcontinent, led by Pakistan.

• Palwasha Khan called for religious and military unity. She claimed that the real enemy was not Pakistan, but all Muslims and Islam.

• Her speech grew stronger when she warned India of serious consequences.

• Palwasha Khan said that if India attacks, then the Red Fort in Delhi would see a bloodshed like never before, and its walls would remember it for centuries. She added,

  We are not wearing bangles. We have guns, we have arms, we have trees—and if the enemy tries anything, we will hang their corpses from our trees.”

• She said that Sikh soldiers in the Indian army would not attack Pakistan because Pakistan held religious importance for them. She said,
  

  If they are threatening Pakistan, then let them know that the Sikh army will not attack Pakistan because it’s the land of Guru Nanak for them.”
