  • Patricia Altschul grew up in Richmond, Virginia. Later, she lived for a few years at Georgetown.
  • In 1981, she started working as a Technical and Aesthetic Consultant at Women Artisans Cooperative, Lama Kara, Togo, West Africa. She was also a Research- Assistant/Instructor for U.S.A.I.D. Togo Project, Togo, West Africa.
  • In 1987, she started working as a faculty member at Southside Arts Cente, Sacramento, CA. She worked there till 1990.
  • From 1989 to 2000, she joined American River College, Sacramento, CA as an instructor.
  • In 1991, she worked at STARTS Grant as an artist in the schools. A year later, she worked as the female Imagery and Aesthetics (lecturer) at the Women’s Seminar, U.C. Davis.
